Get Started as a Special Functions Officer
The Special Functions Officer training program provides an excellent foot-in-the-door approach to a law enforcement career. Areas of study include legal subjects, patrol, and criminal investigation procedures, arrest control techniques, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) First Aid. Successful completion qualifies students to apply to work as a Special Function Officer. A Special Function Officer is a sworn and certified peace officer performing specialized investigations, service of legal process, security functions, or specialized ordinance, rule, or regulatory functions. Once certified as a Special Function Officer the cadet will be qualified to enter the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) training program
